first of all, let me thank everyone who has given me their support, and gone the extra length to accept my challenge of giving up meat 1 day a week for 1 month. getting the comments of people pledging to do it has seriously made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. it's like a big wooly sweater around my heart. i had forgotten that this is labor day weekend, and i'm sure people have tons of bbq's and picnics to go to, so, how about moving it to another day if monday doesn't work for you? say, meatless tuesday? i know, doesn't quite have the same ring to it, but i'll take whatever you wanna try!
i will post a blog for each meal of the day, breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and some different recipe options if you would like to try some of my recipes! if you have your own favorites, that's awesome too! but, i would love to hear back from you on how you feel on your no meat day. good or bad? frustrated or happy? good poops? whatever! ;) also, let me know if you try any of my suggestions, and if you like them. i picked out some of my favorites, but i know not everybody's tastes are the same. however, i think i picked some tasty things that should be fairly accessible to everyone! have fun, try something new, and enjoy!

ReplyDeleteHey there - great recipes. I've been "off the meat" since 2003. Still eat eggs, cheese and fish about once a week. So, I guess I'm more of a pescetarian. Hope you are doing well!
